Miriam Dornemann (Miri D) is an illustrator, based in the German alps. Just a stones‘s throw away from the Austrian and Swiss border and not too far away from France and even Italy.

After an administrative law detour she changed into a creative path, went back to school and started working in-house in one of the large German paper craft companies, developing scrapbooking papers and craft sets. She changed into freelancing after having a child and living abroad.

She now works as an illustrator on the American and the German market. She has published several successful sewing and craft books in Germany. With a quilt fabric collection a dream comes true for her, since it combines two of her favorite hobbies: Sewing and illustrating. 

BTW, she stasted quilting over 20 years ago during a year abroad as an exchange student in the USA.
